Aerobatic Sequence Design Part 1

2021-09-18T23:47:00+12:00

All competition aerobatic events require pilots to fly a ‘sequence’. These sequences are made up of various manoeuvres that must be flown in a particular order. But how are these sequences made? Check out Grant’s latest article explaining exactly this.

Good Aeros Done Bad

Like anything in life, if it can go wrong, it probably will. One blessing in aviation is that the industry goes out of it’s way to calculate and assess every possible risk to make it ‘as safe as practically possible’. Even still, aviation accidents do still happen. In this article, Grant analyses the most common reasons these accidents happen, and the steps we go through to prevent them.

Aerobatic Training May Save Your Life

2021-09-18T22:58:36+12:00

Don’t like the idea of being inverted in a plane? Were you taught ‘spinning = bad‘? While the pilot training syllabus is very good at teaching pilots how to fly their aircraft and how to handle emergencies, most pilots never experience anything close to inverted flight or spinning beyond their basic training. If, years later the worst should happen and you end up in some unusual attitude, aerobatic training might teach you the skills to save your life.
