Winter is here, but the good weather continues!

Hello winter!  Let’s see if we can run a competition before the deepest darkest winter weather envelopes the Waikato.The New Zealand Aerobatic Club is organising a one day, two flight competition at Mercer Aerodrome (NZME) on Saturday 4th June 2022.  Sequences to be flown will be the 2023 NZAC Known and Free (Primary, Recreational, Sports) or Free Known (Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited).  Known sequences are available for download from the Sequences page. The categories up to Sports are able to fly the Known sequence again in lieu of a Free sequence.  This will give those in Intermediate and above a chance to test out their new Free Known sequences in front of a judge or two.If you are new to competition aerobatics, there are many ‘how-to’ articles on the NZAC website too.Hangarage, overnight parking and fuel available for those that may want to turn up on Saturday.Mercer Hotel Backpackers (http://www.mercerhotel.co.nz), located on the airfield, has accommodation:· Bunk Beds – $ 35.00 per person per night· Queen Beds – $ 70.00 per room per nightFacilities include a full kitchen, BBQ, TV lounge, and laundry facilities.
