Here comes the second North Island Akro Fest of the year…the official 2022 North Island Akro Fest.

The Langley Marshall Trophy competition is flown each year in memory of Brian Langley and Paul Marshall, passionate Northshore Aero Club aerobatic instructors from an earlier period in NSAC’s history (and NZ Aerobatic Club stalwarts too), but sadly no longer with us.

The magnificent trophy, named the Brian Langley Memorial Trophy, was first awarded in 1992 (to John Luff, flying Pitts Special S2S ZK-WIZ).

There will be category winners and the presentation of the Langley Marshall Trophy to the pilot scoring the highest overall percentage across all categories in the judged competition flights.

Past winners have typically (but not always) been from the lower categories, so everybody has a chance to win the BIG Trophy.

2021 L-M Winner - Mike Slack
