Like anything in life, if it can go wrong, it probably will. One blessing in aviation is that the industry goes out of it’s way to calculate and assess every possible risk to make it ‘as safe as practically possible’. Even still, aviation accidents do still happen. In this article, Grant analyses the most common reasons these accidents happen, and the steps we go through to prevent them.

Don’t like the idea of being inverted in a plane? Were you taught ‘spinning = bad‘? While the pilot training syllabus is very good at teaching pilots how to fly their aircraft and how to handle emergencies, most pilots never experience anything close to inverted flight or spinning beyond their basic training.
